Gary Neville seemingly has a crystal ball, as he predicted that more issues would follow after Sadio Mane’s sending off last weekend.
The Liverpool winger was sent off by referee Jon Moss at the Etihad on Saturday for a reckless high boot on Man City goalkeeper Ederson.
While the Brazilian was stretchered off and has since revealed the sickening extent of his scars, debate has raged on over whether or not Mane should have been given a straight red.
Naturally, once a controversial topic is brought up, more incidents have swiftly followed, something that Neville predicted at the weekend, as seen in the tweet below.
The red yesterday irrespective of which view you have will result in total confusion in the coming weeks and months on high boot challenges

Neville wasn’t wrong as Matt Ritchie and Winston Reid have been involved in similar incidents over the past two days, and with neither being shown a red, the FA and referees have been blasted for a lack of consistency over the rule.
While he initially argued that Mane shouldn’t have been sent off, Neville decided to have a little fun with the whole controversy and called for Reid to be given his marching orders. Don’t think many Liverpool fans saw the funny side of it…
