Tottenham winger Clinton N’Jie looks set to join former French champions Marseille on a permanent basis following an impressive loan spell with the club last season, according to Sky Sports.
N’Jie, who signed for Premier League runners-up Spurs from Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2015, has only made 14 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in all competitions, as the winger’s time at the club looks as if it’s coming to an end, as per Sky Sports.
N’Jie spent last season on loan at Marseille, where he scored four goals in 22 league appearances as the French side secured a fifth-place finish in Ligue 1.
Should N’Jie end up completing his reported move back to France with Marseille, it’ll be worthwhile seeing whether Spurs end up feeling the need to sign a replacement for the winger, or whether they focus in improving other areas in their squad, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side look to improve on their second place finish last season.
