Everton are lining up Orlando City striker Cyle Larin as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, according to The Sun.
Though only 21-years-old, Larin is already one of the most prolific strikers in the MLS, and is widely considered one of the best players in America. Since joining newly-formed Orlando City in 2015, Larin has found the back of the net on 35 occasions in 63 appearances.
It appears as though one of the Premier League’s biggest names is interested in adding Larin’s goal-scoring exploits to their ranks. According to The Sun, Everton are interested in securing the Canadian’s services in the summer transfer window.
The Sun believe that the Toffees are resigned to losing talisman Lukaku, and Larin is believed to have the ability to fill his boots.
Lukaku is leading the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, and his influence will undoubtedly be tough to replace. However, The Sun report Everton’s belief that Larin can fill that void. The tabloid believe he would cost just £2million.
