Liverpool transfer news: £10m bid prepared for PL starlet, 16-year-old talent close to signing

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be a busy man this summer with reports already claiming that he has his eyes set on two new additions.

According to The Express, the Reds manager is ready to reignite his interest in Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, having failed to sign him last summer.

The 20-year-old was on the Liverpool radar with the report going on to add that a £7m offer was turned down, with Klopp now ready to return with an improved £10m offer to test the Foxes’ resolve once again.

Given Chilwell has since signed a new long-term deal with Claudio Ranieri’s side, it could be problematic trying to prise him away from the King Power Stadium.

Nevertheless, it appears as though Klopp will try his luck, as he looks to find a long-term solution at left-back and allow James Milner to play in his natural position instead of filling in.

The Leicester youngster has found opportunities hard to come by this season, making just four Premier League appearances despite the fact that he is considered one of the top young talents at the club.

In turn, he may well consider his options if his situation doesn’t change, with Liverpool ready to pounce if an exit becomes likely.

Elsewhere, the Liverpool Echo report that the Reds are close to adding a quality young talent to their Academy with the signing of 16-year-old Yasser Larouci.

The attacking midfielder is a free agent after turning down a contract from Le Havre, and in turn it’s claimed that he is on the brink of agreeing a deal to move to Merseyside where he will hope to continue his development at the club’s excellent youth facilities.
