Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra has become the latest household name to move to the Chinese Super League, report The Sun.
Diarra is well known on these shores, having played for three different sides in the country’s top tier. As well as making 31 appearances for Chelsea, where he failed to break into the starting side, he also played 13 times for Arsenal.
Additionally, Diarra made appeared in a Portsmouth shirt on 32 occasions, and was part of the side that lifted the FA Cup in 2008 – taking his trophy tally in England to three.
After stints at Real Madrid, Anzhi Makhachkala and Lokomotiv Moscow, Diarra returned to his home country with Marseille. He is now set to be on the move once more.
According to The Sun, Diarra reached a mutual agreement with Marseille for the termination of his contract. The tabloid believe that he is now in advanced negotiations with Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng over a lucrative move.
