Piers Morgan takes a dig at Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and fellow Gunner and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn

Piers Morgan had a dig at Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and fellow Gunner and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn on Good Morning Britain today, report the Standard.

Morgan is a renown member of the ‘Wenger Out’ brigade, and made sure to let the country know about it while on air this morning.

As he handed Corbyn an Arsenal shirt, the Standard quote him in saying: “We have a gift for you because you are the MP of Islington. Like another resident of Islington, you’ve proved almost impossible to unseat”; a reference to Wenger’s 20 years at the helm at Arsenal, where he has won 15 trophies.

The roasting wasn’t finished there, however, Corbyn was his next victim. The Arsenal shirt had the number ten on the back, Morgan added: “I mean, you may never get there, but at least you can have the shirt.”

Morgan may be friends with the president-elect of the United States, but it seems unlikely there will be many fond of him in Downing Street if Labour win the general election in 2020.

Arsenal are eight points adrift of leaders Chelsea in the Premier League. As things stand, there is probably more chance of Morgan being Theresa May’s successor than Wenger having his hands on the title come the season’s end.
