Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw against Celtic this evening in a game that epitomised their Champions League group campaign – disappointing.
Pep Guardiola’s side were second best to Barcelona in group C, despite beating them at the Etihad. City stumbled to a second-place finish, which could prove costly for them heading into the knockout stages of the competition.
Group-winners can only be drawn against those who finished as runners up in their group, and vice versa. This means that the list of sides that City can be drawn against will make for grim reading for Guardiola.
City will either face Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Monaco, Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Juventus or Sevilla.
