Exceptional Chelsea centre back admits he’s keen to leave

Chelsea’s Czech centre back Tomas Kalas had told GetWestLondon that he knows his future probably isn’t at Stamford Bridge, and that he will be looking to move on in the near future.

The defender has been on loan for several years now, and despite impressing in spells at Vitesse and now Fulham, he has admitted that he probably won’t make it to the first team anytime soon.

With one year left on his contract after this season, Kalas says that he’s “playing for more than just building a CV”, presumably meaning he would like a permanent long term move somehwere to settle in rather than continue with short “internships” all over the place with no real hope of settling in anywhere.

As much as Chelsea fans would like to see Kalas play in Blue again – after his memorable debut against Liverpool in the Steven Gerrard “slip” game, not many would begrudge him a move to somewhere he can be truly appreciated.
