We’re in for a treat as high flying Brighton take on Aston Villa in the Friday night match live from the Championship (KO 19:45)
There’s now a great opportunity to watch games from the Championship with Bet365, who reported this week they have live feeds of a number of fixtures from England’s second tier.
Second takes on fourteenth as high flying Brighton host improving Aston Villa later tonight in the Championship, and its a game in which both punters and fans will be looking to dive right into following the international break.
Both were among the early season favourites for promotion however it is the Seagulls who have come out of the tracks faster. Chris Hughton’s side have not lost since September and will go level on points at the top with Newcastle with a win.
Don’t forget that Coral are also offering a mammoth 33/1 on the Brighton home win, which offers massive appeal as the Seagulls are certainly one of the form sides in the division.
Aston Villa meanwhile have found their form since the arrival of Steve Bruce and will also fancy their chances of taking something from the game.
The Midlands side are unbeaten in their last 5 games turning draws into wins in the process. They have won three of their last four games and sit just five points off the top 6 as Steve Bruce looks to galvanise the side since the dismissal of Roberto Di Matteo.
Bruce will hope that two of his stars, Jonathan Kodjia and Mile Jedinak are fit. The pair along with other key members of the squad were on international duty last week and the former Hull boss will hope they are ready for the rigors of the Championship.
Speaking at the pre-game conference, Bruce confirmed that Jordan Amavi is available, Micah Richards is struggling while Leandro Bacuna is fit, telling reporters “Jordan looks as if he’s OK. He had a horrible cut on his foot and looks to be OK at the moment. Bacuna is fine. He has been training in the last week. He wasn’t great the week before and unfortunately had to miss the derby game.Micah is unfortunately not quite right. I think with Micah, it is going to be a long drawn out affair but we will try and manage the situation as best we can.”
Hughton meanwhile will also have Solly March back in the squad for the first time for a home game for nearly a year while Anthony Knockaert returns to the squad following the death of his father.
This looks to have all the hallmarks of a classic between two sides which are definitely in form and both have genuine ambitions to promotion to the Premier League this season.
There is not much between the sides but Brighton are predictably the favourites to take all three points at 10/11, while Steve Bruce’s Villa side are available at a value looking 7/2, which is sure to attract interest from punters looking for a little more value.
Of course, there’s also that 33/1 on Brighton to pick up.
It should provide a great start to a bumper weekend coupon in England.
