Theo Walcott doubled Arsenal’s lead minutes before the first half came to an end as the Gunners go in at half time winning 2-0.
Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets had their opportunities throughout, mostly on the counter-attack, although that same method saw Arsenal score through Sanchez in wonderful fashion.
From the beginning it looked like it was going to be a difficult night for England international Theo Walcott, who gave possession away a number of times as well as being well marked by the Ludogorets defence. However, Walcott’s super strike saw Arsenal double their lead on the brink of half time.

Ludogorets did have a lucky escape which involved Walcott on the 25 minute mark. His cross was poorly dealt with before landing at Mesut Ozil’s feet but the German’s shot crashed off a defender.
It was end-to-end stuff as David Ospina was tested in the Arsenal goal but Ludogorets lacked quality in front of goal to force an equaliser. Just ten minutes from half time they were whiskers away from breaking that deadlock.
While they go in after the first half ahead, Arsenal didn’t have it all their own way.
This game has set itself up for an interesting second half.
