Manchester United legend and BT football pundit Rio Ferdinand revealed why Chicharito’s career at the Red Devils stalled despite a decent goal scoring return.
Ferdinand was covering the Tottenham v Bayer Leverkusen game in which the Mexican striker started up front.
Chicharito almost scored but was prevented by an incredible save by Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris.
Ferdinand revealed that he did not believe Chicharito had the self-confidence to thrive at a club like United and that he did not respond well to the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie being ahead in the pecking order during his time at the club.
