Chelsea’s defence was a mess last Friday in John Terry’s absence as the Blues gifted Liverpool the opening goal in a 2-1 win for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
And, with Terry out again, Chelsea’s backline has again allowed their opponents to break the deadlock with ease.
This time, Leicester City are the benefactors and Shinji Okazaki is the scorer.
Chelsea failed to clear a simple cross and the second ball fell to Okazaki, who forced the ball just over the line.
This EFL Cup match is arguably bigger for Chelsea than it is for Leicester.
After all, Chelsea are only in three competitions this season, while the Foxes have Champions League football to think about.
