Arsenal targets Manchester City future in doubt

Jason Denayer’s Manchester City future has been cast in doubt after after the Belgium international was left out of the squad which faced Sunderland.

The Citizens went onto win the game by a 2-1 score line however, Denayer was not named in the match day squad. The Belgium based football agent Saffet Balkan told Radyospor that he believes Galatasaray are favourites to sign the 21-year-old despite interest from elsewhere.

Speaking on Turkish sports radio station, Balkan stated: “Denayer will struggled for playing time this season and considering he has already settled in at Galatasaray he would prefer a move there.”

“City want to loan Denayer out, he will most probably leave on a temporary move,” he added.

Meanwhile, The Sun states that if City were to sell Denayer it would cost clubs interested £12 million. The tabloid newspaper  states that the Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has his eye on Denayer as a solution for his defensive crisis.

The north London based club conceded four goals against Liverpool at the Emirates in their opening Premier League game of the season. The French tactician is currently without Koscielny, Per Mertesacker and Gabriel in defence.
