Arsenal transfer news: In-demand Belgium Euro 2016 star in talks with Galatasaray

Manchester City’s young defender Jason Denayer is in talks with the Turkish Super League giants Galatasaray.

Galatasaray sporting director Levent Nazifoglu told Eren Sarigul, “Talks have been positive, there is a good chance Denayer will return.”

The Lions are frontrunners to sign Denayer after the Belgium international spent last season on loan at Galatasaray. The Istanbul giants are once again looking to sign Denayer on a season-long loan.

Galatasaray could however, face competitions from the Premier League giants Arsenal according to The Sun.

The daily tabloid states that Man City are willing to sell the 21-year-old for a £12 million fee and Arsenal are in the market for a defensive transfer after suffering an injury crisis at the back.

Arsene Wenger is facing a selection headache going into the opening game of the season following injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel.

The Gunners take on Liverpool on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium, kick-off is at 14:00 (GMT).
