Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino watched on Down Under as a blended side of youth and experience ended their Australian tour with a 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in Melbourne this morning.

Later in the day, six Spurs stars who did not travel to Oz were pictured after some “tough” pre-season training back in England.

Five of the men in this selfie had only recently returned to Spurs training following prolonged post-Euro breaks.

Mousa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose and Dele Alli all featured regularly at Euro 2016.

However, Cameroon international Clinton Njie was seemingly left in England for different reasons.

According to Inside Futbal, speedy winger Njie is expected to move to Marseille on loan.

However, the same source now claim, via L’Equipe, that the move has been delayed until next week.

It is reported that Njie has already passed a Marseille, but he has yet to obtain a visa.

Tottenham’s Euro stars are expected to be reunited with the rest of Pochettino’s first-team squad before their final friendly of the summer – against Inter Milan in Norway on Friday, August 5.
