Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has turned his attention towards the Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette according to the Mirror.
Per the source, Wenger held talks with Lacazette’s agent during Euro 2016 this summer. The report goes onto state that the France giants have set a £40 million price tag on the 25-year-old.
Wenger has turned his attention towards Lacazette after failing to land Gonzalo Higuain who according to the Metro, is set to join Juventus.
Meanwhile the Daily Mail claim that Lyon have no intention of selling their star striker as they already raised £21 million from Barcelona who signed Samuel Umtiti. The report goes onto state that the players agent David Venditelli also denied rumours that his client has a release clause included in his contract.
Lacazette has scored 23 goals and provided four assists in 44 appearances for Lyon in all competitions this season.
The France international has racked up a total of 72 goals in 172 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants since graduating from Lyon’s academy in 2010.
