Chelsea have had a bid for PSG’s star striker Edison Cavani rejected according to The Sun.
The tabloid newspaper states that the Blues tabled a £41.5 million offer for the Uruguay international which was turned down by the Ligue 1 Champions. The reports also states that PSG are holding out for a bid in the region of £66.5 million.
The Sun go onto state that Chelsea are on the look-out for a new striker as Atletico Madrid step up their interest in Diego Costa. Chelsea have already strengthened their attacking line up having signed Michy Batshuayi.
The French outlet Le 10 Sport claim that Chelsea’s newly appointed manager Antonio Conte has set his sights on the 29-year-old striker. The report also claims that Cavani is seeking a new challenge and wants out of Ligue 1 this summer.
Cavani provided seven assists and scored 25 goals in 52 appearances for PSG in all competitions last season.
