Chelsea and Arsenal are set to do battle over the signature of Barcelona’s Arda Turan according to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik.
The daily sports paper states that Barcelona will offload the Turkish international if an offer in the region of €25 million is made. Fanatik goes onto state that the two Premier League sides are preparing bids for Turan.
The Daily Star have also linked both Arsenal and Chelsea with a move the the 29-year-old midfielder.
The report however comes amid a statement from Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut which states that his client is happy to be at Barcelona.
“The interest is normal but the rumours saying he is leaving Barcelona are false, he is happy at the club,” Turan’s agent, Ahmet Bulut told the Guardian.
Turan has another four-years remaining on his contract with Barcelona. The 29-year-old provided four assists and scored two goals in 25 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona last season. Turan made his debut in January due to a transfer ban imposed on Barcelona by UEFA.
