Liverpool’s young winger Jordan Ibe has completed his move to the Premier League side Bournemouth.
Reuters have confirmed that the 20-year-old has joined the Cherries on a four-year-deal. The report goes onto say that neither club has disclosed the transfer fee however, media reports say Bournemouth have set aside £15 million for the youngster.
“He played plenty of football with Liverpool last season and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to grow now with us, he’s a huge prospect,” Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake told the club’s website.
The Mirror states that Bournemouth fended off interest from fellow Premier League sides Southampton and Watford to secure Ibe. The young midfielder will link up with his new teammates on their pre-season tour of America.
Ibe joined Liverpool from Wycombe as a 16-year-old and was tipped to fill the void left by Raheem Sterling who joined Manchester City last year. The 20-year-old provided four goals and four assists in 43 appearances in all competitions for the Reds last season.
