Lazio midfielder Ogneyi Onazi has attracted the interest of clubs including Super Lig champions Besiktas.
Onazi’s agent Stephen Makinwa told Emre Sarigul that there are a number of clubs making enquiries for the 23-year-old midfielder.
“There are many clubs interested in the Onazi including from England,” Makinwa said.
“He is the captain of the Nigerian national team so it is natural for there to be interested and Besiktas are also one of those clubs.”
Makinwa did underline that the level of interest has been at an enquiry level and that there are no offers on the table.
“They just wanted information for now,” he added.
West Ham and Sunderland are also in the race for Onazi according to Nigerian newspaper Punch.
The report also claims that Everton, Southampton, Swansea and Greek giants Panatinaikos are all interested in Onazi.
Lazio are reported to want at least £7 million for the 2013 African Cup of Nations winner who has another two-years remaining on his current contract.
Onazi started 14 times in the league for the Roma based outfit last season playing a total of 22 matches for Lazio in all competitions.
