France forward Antoine Griezmann stepped up and delivered the perfect response to turn a deficit into a lead for his side against Ireland in Lyon on Sunday.
Robbie Brady had given the Irish the lead in the first-half, but it took just over 10 minutes in the second half for Les Bleus to find an equaliser.
After some excellent build-up play, Griezmann found himself unmarked in the box and headed home a brilliant effort to draw his side level.

With the home supporters rocking, it wasn’t long before they were on their feet again as Olivier Giroud played a crucial role in the second goal.
The Arsenal striker cushioned a perfect header into the path of Griezmann, who took care of the rest by producing a composed finish to turn the game on its head.

Ireland responded immediately as they began to push forward in search of their own equaliser, but their hopes took a huge blow as Shane Duffy was sent off after bringing Griezmann down just outside the box when the Atletico Madrid man was poised to make it 3-1.
