Chelsea transfer latest: 4th summer loan exit confirmed as Blues continue global policy

Thirty-three players left Chelsea on loan deals last summer, before many more loan deals were sanctioned later in the campaign.

Now this summer’s loan exodus is well underway, with 20-year-old goalkeeper Mitchell Beeney this week becoming the fourth player to agree to leave the Blues since then end of the 2015-16 campaign.

As Chelsea send out youngsters in volume, it is no surprise that they end up all over the world.

Chelsea’s loan policy is truly global.

Beeney has only gone to Crawley, but he is the first Blues player to go to an English club for the 2016-17 season.

The other three loanees have all gone to different countries, with Joao Rodriguez going to Santa Fe in Colombia, Charly Musonda in Spain with Real Betis and Nathan in Holland with Vitesse.

Chelsea’s official website confirmed Beeney’s loan exit, which should see him stay at Crawley until January 3.

Crawley are currently managed by Dermot Drummy, who used to work with the Chelsea academy.
