Chelsea scoring machine eager to reunite with former club

Chelsea forward Diego Costa does not appear to want anything to do with the new regime at Stamford Bridge and seems to want a return to his old stomping grounds in La Liga.

According to AS via Sportwitness, Costa is seeking a reunion with his former manager Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid “before July 7.” Per the source, Costa will do whatever it takes to ensure that Chelsea send him back to Spain.

Chelsea reportedly rejected a bid for Costa this past January, but may be more inclined to sell him now that the club is under new management.

Antonio Conte is believed to be interested in signing Juventus striker Alvaro Morata – whose potential arrival would almost assure that Costa gets sent back to Atletico Madrid.

Despite a rough start to the 2015-16 season in which he scored three times in 14 Premier League games, he went on to finish with 12 goals in 28 appearances for Chelsea.
