Jose Mourinho may have gained notoriety for refusing to play young players in his final years at Chelsea, but he appears to be turning over a new leaf at Man United as he plots a move for Bordeaux wonderkid Adam Ounas.
According to RMC Sport via Transfer Tavern, the Red Devils have submitted an £8 million bid for the 19-year-old Bordeaux winger.
Ounas recorded five goals and two assists for the Ligue 1 outfit last year in 24 league appearances. He earned a cap for France’s Under-20 squad last year.
Man United fans have fond memories of the last French wonderkid they signed: star striker Anthony Martial from Monaco for a teenage transfer record-breaking fee.
Man United have continued their youth movement since bringing Jose Mourinho into the fold. They signed 22-year-old Villarreal star Eric Bailly to a four-year contract earlier this month.
