The field of applicants to make appeals for Barcelona forward/winger Cristian Tello just seems to get bigger by the hour as another Premier League team join the race.
According to The Sun, Southampton have reached out to Barcelona over a possible transfer for the 24-year-old Tello. Per the source, Tello is looking to get out of Barca after being pushed well down the depth chart by Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.
Previous reports have identified Liverpool, Fiorentina, Valencia and Stoke City as contenders for the Barca star.
Tello has not been featured on Barcelona’s first-team since the 2013-14 season. He has spent the last two seasons on loan spells to Porto and Fiorentina.
