UEFA appear to have seriously messed up, again.
They suspended Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho for an initial 30 days, after he was apparently found to have a banned fat-burning substance in his system.
However, now it seems that the substance may not have been on the banned list and that Sakho could be off the hook, according to L’Equipe
While it’s all well and good that Sakho can now resume his career, it stinks that a possible UEFA f**k-up saw him miss eight games at the end of the season, including the Europa League final.
But, I suppose, anyone can make a mistake – just ask the Sports Editor of the Sunday People who published a photo of Crystal Palace’s Bakary Sako on their back page this morning.
Sunday People post picture of wrong ‘Sakho’ on their back page, or is there a spectacular twist here @sakobakary26? pic.twitter.com/h85PqPKcAR
