Leicester fear losing star to Arsenal; £20m release clause leaves them powerless

Leicester City are growing increasingly worried that they could lose midfielder N’Golo Kante to Arsenal this summer, according to The Mirror.

The Mirror reports that Kante has yet to commit his future to the Foxes, as other key members of their Premier League title-winning squad have.

The 25-year-old has a buy-out clause in his contract, which The Mirror understands to be £20m, and Arsenal have already made their interest known.

Both officials and players at the King Power Stadium fear that the Frenchman could be enticed by the Gunners if that figure is met, The Mirror claims.

Kante emerged from relativity obscurity to enjoy an incredible first season with Leicester, after joining from Caen for £5.6m – fee reported by The Mirror.

His tireless and industrious performances earned him a place in the PFA Team of the Year, and a place on the final shortlist for PFA Player of the Year.
