Arsenal ready to sell £20m striker to big-spending London rivals

Theo Walcott could be out at Emirates Stadium next season, but he won’t have to travel far with one of Arsenal‘s rivals poised to pick him up.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are ready to end Walcott’s tenure with the club in a £20 million sale to West Ham United. Per the source, the Hammers are ready to spend big this summer, and are prepared to pay whatever it takes to land Walcott along with some other European strikers such as Michy Batshuayi and Alexandre Lacazette if available.

The Sun also reported that Chelsea also expressed some interest in Walcott, but the 27-year-old striker was more intrigued by the prospect of helping West Ham climb the ladder from the comfort of the new Olympic Stadium next season.

Starting just over half of his 42 appearances for Arsenal this season, Walcott has scored nine goals and made three assists. He has just 15 starts in 28 Premier League appearances this season and earned Man of the Match honours in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Man City back in December.
