Chelsea legend & World Cup heroes to join Euro 2016 as pundits

The coverage for BBC Sport in Euro 2016 is already extensive as it will feature a who’s-who of former European superstars, but now two more legends are set to join the network

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard (now with NYC FC) and World Cup legend Jurgen Klinsmann (now with the USMNT) will be added to BBC’s team of pundits in the tournament and will give their takes on the action from the comfort of the United States.

Gary Lineker, Rio Ferdinand, Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Martin Keown, Jermaine Jenas and Danny Murphy have also been slated to join BBC for the European championship.

Lampard was named to the Euro 2004 Team of the Tournament after scoring three goals, including the team’s final goal against Portugal in the quarter-finals. He won three Premier League titles and the Champions League with Chelsea before joining Manchester City in 2014 and later moving to NYC FC the following year.

Klinsmann won Euro 1996 and the 1990 FIFA World Cup representing Germany, and now manages the US Men’s National Team.
