A two-year long inquest into the Hillsborough disaster this morning cleared Liverpool fans of any wrongdoing, and concluded that the 96 victims of the tragedy had been “unlawfully killed”.
As the dark cloud that has unjustly hung over Anfield for almost three decades parted ways, the families of some of the deceased emotionally sang the famous Liverpool anthem outside of the court.
