West Bromwich Albion midfielder Sandro has accused Eliaquim Mangala of getting away with it when the Manchester City defender pushed the Brazilian on Saturday.
The Citizens secured a 2-1 victory over the Baggies at the weekend, a match which left the Albion ruing a specific flashpoint which could have altered the outcome.
With the scores tied at 1-1, Sandro—currently on loan with the Throstles from Queens Park Rangers—was bundled over in the box by Mangala.
The Brazil international appealed to the referee, but the official was unmoved, deeming that the Frenchman’s challenge had been fair.
Speaking to the Baggies’ official website, Sandro has accused Mangala of getting away with it.
“I think I definitely should have had a penalty,” the midfield powerhouse began. “I was waiting for the ball and I felt somebody push me in the back.
“We feel a little bit sad because of the result,” he continued. “We would have liked to have taken some points from the game but we have to look forward to the next game and stay at this level.”
Stephane Sessegnon opened the scoring for the Black Country outfit, before Sergio Aguero levelled the contest after 19 minutes from the penalty spot.

Following the non-penalty awarded to WBA, Samir Nasri—returning to the starting XI following a long absence—struck the winner in the 66th minute.
The winner boosted the Citizens’ hopes of securing the final Champions League berth, while the Baggies remain 13 points clear of the drop zone.
