According to reports, the Spanish national side are considering Everton manager Roberto Martinez as a replacement for Vincente Del Bosque.
The latter has enjoyed immense success with La Roja, becoming the most successful coach in the history of the Spanish side, but he has been tipped with the exit door following this summer’s European Championships.
Del Bosque inherited Luis Aragones’s side, which had won the Euros in 2008, and proceeded to win both the 2010 World Cup and the European Championships two years later.
While Spain flopped at the 2014 World Cup, falling to a first-round exit, they will be among the favourites to win the Euros in France this summer, a competition which could be Del Bosque’s last.
According to Sky Sports [as per AS], Spain are considering Martinez as a potential replacement for the legendary manager should he depart.

While Martinez is understood to be keen on the national team job, it remains to be seen whether Spain fans would be enthusiastic about his potential appointment, with Martinez having overseen Wigan Athetic’s relegation, before taking an immensely talented Everton side to the bottom half of the table.
