Though their time together at Inter Milan was short, Jose Mourinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic still found great success together and gained tremendous respect for one another. Now in his final year with PSG, Zlatan has been tipped for a move to the Premier League and is hoping his former manager will be at one of England’s top clubs regardless of whether he ends up landing there.
In a recent interview [per the Metro], Zlatan praised the ousted Chelsea manager for his strong will and devotion to his players, and believes he will be successful anywhere he goes – including Manchester United.
‘Jose will be a success anywhere he coaches, that is just the man he is,’ Zlatan said.
‘I respect him because he says whatever he wants, but when you listen to him what he says is always right.
‘Of course he is a coach that has much knowledge, but it is more than that, he also really cares.
‘That is why players who play for him are ready to die for him. He cares, so you care’.
Mourinho has been tipped with a move to Man United for months with Louis van Gaal poised to be let go at the end of the season. He was fired from Chelsea after losing 9 of his first 16 BPL games to start Chelsea’s title defense.
Zlatan has also been linked to Old Trafford, with the Swedish striker being a target for years – and more so since he announced 2015-16 would be his last in France.
