With Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez struggling to score over the last few weeks, Arsenal have found themselves sorely in need of a dominating striker. Luckily for them, a solid option in the form of Juventus star Alvaro Morata could be on the market for them.
According to AS, Morata’s former club Real Madrid are looking to buy back their ex-striker from Juventus for around £23.5 million and then sell him to Arsenal at a markup for £39.5 million.
Morata has 10 goals for Juventus in all competitions this year and Arsenal were speculated to be interested in a transfer move for him during the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old Spanish striker was a star for Real Madrid Castilla from 2010 to 2013 in between stints with the Real Madrid first team. He had eight La Liga goals in the 2013-14 season and moved to Juventus the following season.
In the 2014-15 season, Morata scored eight goals and was named to the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season.
