Jose Mourinho to make £60m Harry Kane transfer priority once he takes over at Manchester United

Jose Mourinho will make Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane his number-one transfer target if he takes over at Manchester United in the summer, according to The Independent.

The Independent reports that it is looking increasingly likely that Mourinho will replace Louis van Gaal in the close season, and that the Special One intends to recruit half a first team.

Mourinho wants a mobile main striker, a fast right winger, a commanding central midfielder and two defenders, but Kane is the one player that he wants above any other, The Independent adds.

The Special One is said to be a big fan of the way which Kane combines a relentless work rate with a prolific goalscoring record. The 22-year-old has 53 games in 93 appearances for Spurs.

And, because of that, Tottenham consider Kane unsellable, and it would take an offer of at least £60m to have the slightest chance of forcing Daniel Levy’s hand, according to The Independent.

Nevertheless, The Independent claims that the Londoners are confident that academy product Kane wants to stay with them anyway, and spearhead their revolution under Mauricio Pochettino.
