Chelsea to keep £200,000-a-week struggler this summer despite Blues fans’ boos

It has been reported that Eden Hazard will not be allowed to leave Chelsea this summer.

The 25-year-old has suffered a spectacular fall from grace since being crowned PFA Player of the Year in the Blues’ title-winning Premier League campaign last season.

Hazard started in all 38 of Chelsea’s league games last term, netting 14 goals and providing nine assists in the process.

So far in Chelsea’s underwhelming 2015-16 campaign, Hazard has yet to score once and has only made three assists in 26 top-flight outings.

His season sank to a new low on Wednesday night as he was booed off by a group of Blues fans at Stamford Bridge towards the end of his side’s 2-1 defeat to PSG in the Champions League, according to The Telegraph.

However, the same newspaper claim that Chelsea will reject summer bids for Hazard, who is on £200,000 per week.

Real Madrid and PSG both hold an interest in Hazard, so say The Telegraph, who claim that Chelsea’s likely next manger, Antonio Conte, is keen to work with the Belgian winger.
