Respected Spanish journalist Kike Marin has claimed that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is aware that his side need a new striker and even tried to replace Olivier Giroud with one of three world class talents.
The French international has struggled to find the net in any of his eight previous outings as the season reaches a crucial stage both in Europa and domestically.
And Marin has claimed that Wenger attempted to lure the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Luis Suarez and Karim Benzema to replace the controversial forward.
@Arsenal needs a striker top. Wenger knows it and so he tried to sign Suárez, Benzema or Aubameyang. Sorry, Giroud. pic.twitter.com/gZS8JzrNbM

Arsenal’s defeat to Barcelona during the week has only served to highlight that the Gunners are in desperate need of more firepower up front and Wenger could be tempted to rekindle his pursuit of a new striker again over the summer.
