Having dominated the opening stages by playing some silky passing football, Bojan was at the heart of the goal as the Spaniard skipped past two challenges before laying off the ball to his teammate.
Arnautovic, fresh from scoring a wonder goal of his own at the weekend, showed some quick-thinking which allowed him to find Shaqiri who made no mistake as he silenced Goodison Park to wrap up a wonderful team goal.
It took the hosts just five minutes to respond as Romelu Lukaku brought his team level as both teams look to build on their wins on Saturday, after Stoke overcame Manchester United while the Toffees left it late against Newcastle United.
However, Shaqiri struck on the stroke of half time for his second of the afternoon with a stunning effort and in turn it sets up an intriguing second half with Stoke’s attacking trident hoping to inflict further damage as they continue to impress this season.
