Manchester United winger Memphis Depay endured a miserable first half against Stoke City on Boxing Day, as his mistake led to the opening goal of the game.

The Dutchman failed to have the desired impact in an attacking sense, and when called upon defensively, he wasn’t up to it either as his soft attempted header back to David de Gea allowed the Potters to break into the box with Bojan finishing off the move.
Marko Arnautovic added a second before half time to pile the pressure on under-fire boss Louis van Gaal, and it remains to be seen whether or not Depay’s mistake proves to be decisive for his compatriot’s future.
Van Gaal has had a disastrous few weeks which has seen him side crash out of the Champions League and out of the Premier League top four, and Depay’s error will not have gone down well with the Dutch tactician who is evidently in no joking mood based on his press conference earlier in the week.
Atrocious defending by Depay. Easy for Johnson, calm finish from Bojan: 1-0. “You’re getting sacked in the morning” chant #scfc fans at LVG

Van Persie is definitely better at diving headers than Depay.

Depay may have just cost LVG his job. What a clown
