Valencia boss Gary Neville has set his sights on FC Porto midfielder Giannelli Imbula ahead of the January transfer window.
The Franco-Congolese midfielder—who is also eligible for Belgium—moved to Portugal as part of the major exodus from Olympique de Marseille during the summer.
However, whereas former teammates such as Andre Ayew and Dimitri Payet have thrived after leaving the Stade Velodrome, Imbula has flopped at Porto, making only a handful of appearances.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were all linked with a move for the player during the summer, while latterly, AC Milan and Southampton have eyed the tenacious box-to-box operator in recent weeks, and may look to move for his signature in January.
However, according to Superdeporte [via Le 10 Sport], Neville is also attracted to the youngster, and is considering making Imbula his first-ever signing as a manager.
