Louis van Gaal REFUSES to walk away from Man United job

Could Louis van Gaal return to the Premier League with Swansea?

Under fire Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is refusing to walk away from the club and will force club chiefs to sack him if results don’t quickly improve, according to the Daily Star.

The Red Devils have gone six games without a win, and have lost three on the bounce, as well as seeing his side crash out at the group stage of the Champions League, placing the Dutchman under increasing pressure.

Reports this week have claimed that van Gaal could meet his end this week if United fail to get anything out of either Stoke or Chelsea, and United chiefs are said to have been locked in talks over whether to give him the push now or prolong his stay of execution.

The 64-year-old is determined to battle on, though, as he still has 18 months remaining on his present £6m-a-year contract, and he would be entitled to around £10million if he is given the sack.

“It isn’t just about the money. The manager still firmly believes in himself and his ability to turn the situation round,” a United source said.

“There is no chance of him standing down. He’s a proud man who wants the chance to see the job through. Quitting would be like admitting failure.”
