On occasion, Manchester United fans have been labelled as being cocky and dismissive of their challengers, and after Monday’s Europa League draw they’re now treating the entire tournament with disdain.
The Red Devils have been drawn against FC Midtjylland in the last 32 of the competition, following their failure to qualify from their Champions League group.
Considering the fan reaction, it will be interesting to see what kind of team Louis van Gaal puts out for the game. As it would be great to add another trophy to the cabinet, taking the competition seriously could end up hindering their title challenge in the Premier League.
The only thing I am waiting to get from Man United in this Europa league is LvGs excuses when he loses this time.
