Fresh from breaking the Champions League record for most goals scored in the group stage of the competition, Cristiano Ronaldo has outlined his hopes for Chelsea’s match against FC Porto on Wednesday.
The Portuguese superstar broken his own jointly held record on Tuesday when he bagged a hat-trick in Real’s 8-0 demolition of SS Malmo.
The Merengues were already guaranteed top spot ahead of the final round of matches, but they put their recent miserable showings behind them with a glorious showing to truly dissect the unfortunate Swedish side.
Ronaldo broke the record with his third goal, before adding a fourth (his eleventh in the group stage this season) to take him two clear of Ronaldo and Luiz Adriano.
Speaking after the match, CR7 looked ahead to Chelsea’s meeting with FC Porto on Wednesday evening, a match in which the Blues need to avoid defeat in order to guarantee progression to the Last 16.

The match will see a reunion between old rivals Jose Mourinho and Iker Casillas, whose relationship broke down during their mutual time together at Real Madrid.
“It’s Chelsea-FC Porto, not Mourinho-Casillas,” said Ronaldo to Portuguese source Record after the match, playing down the rivalry between the two men.
“May the best man win.”
