Olympique de Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi has left the door open to a move to Chelsea by denying suggestions that he is desperate to switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Belgian hitman has bagged 10 goals in 17 outings in the French top flight so far this season, contributing five assists as he has led OM’s revival after their miserable start to the campaign. After 17 matches, the Stade Velodrome heavyweights sit ninth in the table, and have gone unbeaten in their last four matches.
The 22-year-old appears to have the world at his feet, and no shortage of suitors.
Chelsea are understood to be keen on the frontman, with talkSport reporting that Jose Mourinho is eyeing the speedy striker as a potential upgrade on troubled forward Diego Costa.
However, Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked to the striker, with Laurent Blanc reportedly eyeing the forward as a long-term successor to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Speaking to BMTV, Batshuayi has responded to the rumours and denied suggestions that he is desperate for a move to the Parc des Princes, seemingly leaving the door open to a switch to Stamford Bridge.
“Not at all,” he retorted, when asked whether a move to PSG was a dream for him. In a heartbeat, he progressed to naming Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard as the greatest player in the history of Belgian football.
