Colo Colo were named Chilean Primera Division champions this weekend despite failing to take to the field due to trouble from the stands.
Fans of both Colo Colo and Santiago Wanderers took to the pitch before kick off to hurl rocks, seats and sticks at each other, calling a halt to the match before it had even got started.
But that didn’t matter to the title race as Colo Colo’s nearest rivals Universidad Catolica lost 1-0 to Audax Italiano, losing out on the single point they needed to keep their title hopes alive.
