For years, Stoke City have been sneered at by their Premier League rivals, with many of them blasting the Potters for their aggressive tactics and lack of flair.
By contrast, Manchester City are widely regarded as one of the most attractive teams to watch by fans of English football.
Well, those stereotypical roles were spectacularly reversed on Saturday afternoon as Stoke outplayed the Sky Blues at the Britannia Stadium.

Marko Arnautovic scored both goals in a 2-0 with for the Potters, but it was Xherdan Shaqiri who really caught the eye.
Shaqiri, who claimed two assists, was too hot for the visitors to handle.
Nicolas Otamendi was a £32m summer signing according to BBC Sport, but the Argentine was made to look like a Sunday league player by Shaqiri, who drew a very aggressive foul during the second half.
Otamendi was only shown a yellow card for this dirty swipe, but BT Sport pundit and former World Cup final referee Howard Webb said it may have been deemed worthy of a red by another official, because it “could be seen as a violent act”.

Shaqiri was not the only Stoke player who had to deal with City’s rough stuff.
Glenn Whelan hit the ground with force after coming off worst against Wilfried Bony, who moved to the Etihad Stadium in a £28m move in January, so say the Daily Mail.
