Manchester United have received some good news in their hopes of signing Real Madrid star with the news that Paris Saint-Germain may be considering a move for Neymar.
United have been heavily linked with a move for the Portuguese superstar in recent weeks, but face considerable competition from PSG, with the French giants understood to be favouring the Real hitman as a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic [Express].
The Swedish striker has been a key man for the reigning Ligue 1 champions in recent years, but with his contract coming to an end next summer, Laurent Blanc’s side are looking for a successor.
Reports in France on Saturday hint that they may be set to opt out of the race for Ronaldo and instead turn their attentions to Neymar.
L’Equipe [as per Le 10 Sport] report that the latest PSG target to replace Zlatan may be Neymar, with the Ligue 1 heavyweights considering a summer move for the Brazilian superstar.
While it would be something of a surprise to see Neymar leave Barca so early in his career, he may well be tempted by the prospect of joining PSG, a club with a long heritage of signing Brazilian players.
