Manchester United youngster James Wilson has joined Championship side Brighton on loan for the remainder of the season.
Despite the club suffering a major striker shortage, manager Louis van Gaal has sent the 19-year-old to the south coast to gain some valuable first team experience.
However, the decision has not gone down well with the club’s fans, who are now calling for the manager’s head in the wake of Wayne Rooney’s poor form so far this term.
The 19-year-old has only managed a handful of appearances for United this term, scoring once, but it seems that Red Devils fans rate the youngster highly and took to social media to express their unhappiness at the deal.
James Wilson out on-loan to Brighton for the rest of the season, leaving Rooney, Martial and Fellaini as United's strikers… blimey.

Van Gaal is worried about our lack of goals, so he sends James Wilson out on loan. Losing patience with this bloke #MUFC #VanGaal

The fact James Wilson has been loaned out is further proof that Van Gaal is clueless. Get him out. #MUFC
