Chelsea appear to be lining up a move for Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which would be a great move for the Blues. However, the German giants won’t dare let their star go away cheap, and Chelsea may be forced to spend a whole lot more than they can afford – at least without selling off some of their talent.
There are many good options Chelsea can pursue in the transfer window without needing to break the bank for Aubameyang. Felipe Anderson and Batshuayi would be several young options to pursue, or they could go with an accomplished veteran like Ronaldo if they’re dead set on selling the talent.

Arjen Robben
Robben may be a bit old, but he’d be an immediate impact player and has scored plenty of goals since his 30th birthday.
Felipe Anderson
Lazio’s midfield sensation continues to impress in Serie A and has gotten serious looks from a multitude of clubs across Europe.
Zlatan
While not the ideal move for Chelsea, Zlatan brings two things to the table: more scoring chances and a distraction from Jose Mourinho’s sinking ship.
Michy Batshuayi
The Marseille striker already has 10 goals in all competitions since August and would be a welcome addition at striker.
Cristiano Ronaldo
A bit of a long shot, but with Man United plotting a move for the Real Madrid megastar, Chelsea can pull of the heist of the decade and the best scoring threat they’ve had since Drogba was in his prime.
