Tottenham Hotspur are thriving in the Premier League this season, and return from the international break to face local rivals West Ham United on Sunday.
However, if Spurs are to achieve their season goal of a spot in the Champions League this season, Mauricio Pochettino will surely need to invest in his squad in January.
However, while Poch will be hoping to sign players, he will also need to keep an eye on key stars, ensuring they remain at the club.
In this feature, we run down the latest Tottenham transfer news and gossip.

Dele Alli
The teenage midfielder has been one of the stars of the Premier League season so far, and has already made his mark on the England national team—not least with a fine goal against France at Wembley earlier this week.
However, 19-year-old Alli’s performances have attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain, who are understood to be monitoring the Anglo-Nigerian starlet.
Harry Kane
Another player linked with a move away from the club is Harry Kane, who was linked heavily with a move to Manchester United during the summer.
The forward has rediscovered his form in recent weeks, and it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils—struggling for goals themselves—will move for Kane in January.
According to The Sun, Spurs are planning to spend £25 million on new contracts to keep Kane and the aforementioned Alli at White Hart Lane.
Saido Berahino
Moving in the other direction, Saido Berahino was tipped for a switch to Tottenham this summer, only to remain at West Bromwich Albion.
However, coach Tony Pulis has admitted—as per ESPN—that his forward has still not got over the summer’s thwarted move, fuelling speculation that the striker may be on his way in January.
Chelsea are keen on the forward as well, but Pullis remains optimistic that Berahino can get back to his best.
“He had 20 minutes in my office,” the coach began, “he understands, he knows the score. But it’s taken a while to get him back to thinking straight.”
Alessandro Florenzi
AS Roma right-back Florenzi has been linked to Spurs as well as London rivals Arsenal in recent times.
However, according to talkSPORT, both EPL heavyweights face competition for the Italy international, with Barcelona now said to be keen on Florenzi as a potential long-term successor for Dani Alves.
Emmanuel Petit
Finally, we return to the history books, with a move that could have happened, rather than one that could still come to pass.
Speaking to the Fantasy Football Club [as per Sky Sports], the French midfielder revealed how he almost switched to Tottenham, before choosing to move to their bitter rivals Arsenal.
